About Me

Hello fellow travelers! My name is Laurens Bijker. I am an open-minded an vibrant guy. I like to get to know people, I also like to experience out-of-the-box situations and to cook for friends.
During work hours I advise companies on how to become more sustainable. In my free time I like to experience what life has to offer. Who doesn't, right?

That is why I started doing obstacle runs to challenge myself physically. I also had my first singing performance a while ago.. It was both a large challenge and achievement to give all you got in front of a crowd.
I gain loads of energy when I do a creative projects. Last year I designed the entrance columns of a festival in Delft. Fortunately, my friends helped my with the construction. In the photoalbum you can see the result.
Last year I did more projects, one of which was an exhibition concerning Microbes - the tiny creatures which aren't visible to the naked eye, but have an enormous impact on our daily lives.

As a host I really enjoy your company. Hosting travelers is a way for me to import the adventure and make new friends. Last times, I went on exploration in my own country with my surfers. I showed them some of my favourite places. We had a lot of fun. Of course, I understand that as a traveler you want to do what you feel like doing or that you might need some rest. Therefore, it will always be up to you whether you want to join for a party or take some rest. I live in Amsterdam and my apartment is shared with one other flatmate. For them to be comfortable with their stuff laying around, we agreed that I take a photo of a surfer's ID before hosting. It is purely a safety measure and I will delete this after your stay.

As a traveler, it is kind of the same way. I really like to get to know my host and I am always open for having a chat, walk, drink, meal, and so on. On my mid europe trip last summer, my hosts showed me their favourite places and at night we went partying. I really enjoyed this, however of course I'll manage if you have don't have time during the day.

Not unimportant it is to say that I am clean and respectful.

I hope this information gave you an image of me as a person. Feel free to contact me if you have good feeling after reading this:)
