About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Searching for the horizon
ABOUT ME
"The world is a book
and those who do not travel
read only a page."
By day I'm a mild mannered reporter, but at night I don a cutlass and eye patch and scour the Jersey shore in search of friends, good conversation or a well made mojito.
PHILOSOPHY
The best journeys are not always in straight lines, so why not surf a couch or two along the way?!
We all should get the opportunity to see this world and seek our personal legends...regardless of if you have enough money for a hotel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When we started, our home became an unofficial youth hostel for friends and friends of friends. It was strange not to find the couch or the spare bedroom occupied.
When my husband and I started traveling, the people we had hosted responded by showing us a wonderful time abroad.
The Couchsurfers we have met have been wonderful people.
Interests
Travel (of course), pirates, drinks with interesting people, writing, music, DIY projects, horseback riding, photography, and I'm giving surfing a try.
Carl, my husband and partner in crime, loves creating new cocktails, computers and graphic design, reading (especially Stephen King), and Hawaiian shirts.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Pirates of the Caribbean series, The Princess Bride, Little Miss Sunshine
Music: I love dancing to rumba music, relaxing with blues, partying to hip hop or pop and singing to country.
Books: The Alchemist
*whew* I've never been good at getting a specific list. There's way too many! Lets just say, I try to give everything a chance.
Except for horror movies, I'll be sleeping with the lights on for weeks!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
"Somewhere on your journey don't forget to turn around and enjoy the view"
I've seen the Queen getting her mail, gotten a wave from Elton John, zip lined through a Mexican jungle, danced on countless bar tops...but the most amazing experiences have been those shared with friends.
Teach, Learn, Share
The most difficult step of any journey is the first, so don't be afraid to contact me for advice, travel options, whatever.
