About Me

I'm a pretty easygoing guy, a bit shy at first with strangers, but always willing to discovers new things about the world and the people that live in it. I've grown up in the rural countryside in a very altruistic and socially implicated family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I did some Couchsurfing when I traveled through France last year and really loved my experience. Also, as soon as I move in my new apartment, I want to offer my couch and help people discover my part of the world as others did for me before.

Interests

I'm a big information sponge, and appreciated especially learning about history, anthropology and psychology. I also really love science and technology in general and love to stay informed of the constant progress in these domains. And finally, SPACE!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
- Classical: mostly piano pieces from romantic composers (Chopin, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, etc.)
- Rock: from classic rock from the 70s to more modern stuff, I especially love the progressive kind (Genesis, Jethro Tull, Rush, for example)
- Metal: same as with rock, I like most genres, depending on the mood, but prefer the progressive style (Dream Theater, Opeth, Animals as Leaders, etc.)

Movies:
Anything from Quentin Tarantino, also a big LOTR fan (even though I was kinda dissapointed by the Hobbit series)

Books:
Varies from science essays (Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking) to fantasy novels like Harry Potter and Tolkien's work. I am also a big fan on Douglas Adams' work.

Teach, Learn, Share

As often as possible :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My culture (Quebec) have a particular relationship with swearing and always love to teach the complex science and history of our "sacres". I also love to share personal stories as well as the rather short but complex history of my culture (the French speaking bastion of North America).

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, United States
