About Me

IMPORTANT : I'm sorry, but i make a pause in hosting travellers. It is mostly pleasant and interesting, but without exagerating, i receive more than 30 demands for hosting every week.. (Paris must be attractive... :) ) It becomes a bit stressful to choose, to say no... And hosting gives some constraints, between my work and personal planning..

I'm a a reliable, sympathetic guy, fond of sports and culture.

I'm simple, i try to live following values that are important to me (tolerance, respect, open mindness, coherence between speaking and acting .. )

My artistic and cultural "universe" is on my personal blog : http://laurent.tresson.over-blog.com/

Short movies that i realized : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFIuQEU5j2o (2016)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because i truly enjoy to welcome friendly, respectful persons, and make them feel safe in my city, guiding them.. I already hosted several friends met during travels, but i recently registered to couchsurfing.

I would like to share an experience with people from all over the world, in simplicity and authenticity. My first experiences with couchsurfing were very positive. Even if i recently discovered that one of my watches has dispareared .. i'm still hoping i just forgot the place i left it ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When i used to work at night in a small hotel in Paris, something unique happened : It was a warm night in august, when Paris is desert. I was the only employee in the hotel, with just few clients. An old man arrived with a big sport bag and ask for a room. He paid me. 2 hours later, he came back down to front desk. He explained to me that he could not sleep, that he had back pain and needed to walk. He said : "could you keep this bag for me ? An officer will come to pick it up" I said "Yes", thinking someone would come in the next days and put the bag in the technical room.

3 months later, i needed a tool in the technical room. And i saw the bag, a bit dusty. I said to myself "oh, it's still here ..." I opened the bag. I saw nice photography material, lenses.. And behind all this, each one wrapped up with newspaper : 2 golden ingots of 1kg ! It was heavy. I never saw this before. There were true.
I took my colleague as a witness and then i gave it to the manager.
He said "Well, police is informed. They will come for an investigation, take fingerprints.." The truth is that they never came. I think my dishonest director took it for him. BAD GUY ! If i had kept the 2 golden ingots for me, nobody would have known, as i was alone in the hotel. I could have burried them in my garden and kept it for my old days lool

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my culture, my readings, skills in reflex photography, the basis in running, tennis..

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be very happy to share a rollerskating or running session in Paris or a tennis (i have a tennis club at 10mn walking and i can borrow rackets)

We can go together to a public event, visit a museum, enjoy a good restaurant, music concert, exploring Paris by bike :)

Of course, sharing culture, life experiences... We can prepare together a typical meal in my kitchen.

I expect that guests would play the game of sharing few moments together. Of course, we are free and we need to feel comfortable, but i don't want to be considered just as a place to sleep.
