About Me

ABOUT ME

I am curious about people. I'm in a good mood most of the time ! Easy going, a bit in my world (but I like to share it).
I like to discover new things and new cultures (sounds a bit cliché but true). I like to try to think differently (and here I don't mean to be original but just to try different perspectives). Enjoying life and making it nice is probably my favorite activity ! Travelling helps of course.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to share something more than my couch with people I host. It is not a big deal if they want to discover the town by themselves or if they are here to see some friends of them, but it's better if you talk a bit and take time to share a bit of your story !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted in Amsterdam, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala and it was really nice! I helped a guy from Brazil to be hosted by my friends because I couldn't host him at this time (I was moving out). Also I've been part of the CS community in Salamanca, and organised many activities, exploring around with a CS group. I think this system is amazing, it is the best to meet people in a new town and it helps to really discover a place, outside of the tourist frame. I'm now waiting to have my own place to be able to host.

Interests

I'm practicing theatre for a long time, I really need that to feel good in my life! It helps to make you self confident, open minded, and it is a fabulous way to keep some way of playing in an adult life. My favorite is improv theater for the spontaneity and the creativity. As a sport I like swimming (above all in lakes!). Then... reading, cooking, cinema !

Music, Movies, and Books

Films/TV : Doctor Who, Black Book, Sherlock, Tarantino, Kubrick, The Graduate, Garden State, Gladiator, Billy Eliott, Roberto Benini, Woody Allen...
Books : George Orwell, Albert Camus, Alexandre Jardin, Amelie Nothomb
Theatre : Ionesco, Beckett, Beaumarchais, Marivaux...
Music : Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, Johnny Flynn, Beirut, Beach Boys, Chanson française, Adanowsky..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling by myself for 11 months from Canada to Argentina! It was an amazing experience.

Also recently I decided to reduce my work-time to give a real go to my true passion and try to be a professional comedian. It's challenging but I'm starting to find by balance between my two jobs and I really like it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Showing around and avoiding touristic places is probably the main mission when hosting a surfer! Then it's all about sharing experiences, talking about our travels, lives, or any activities we're fond of! It's always interesting when people are passionate about something. And the good thing is : everybody is fond of something different! It's a never-ending discovery.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking might be a nice thing to share as people have very different food habbits! I'm not an amazing cook but I'm practicing. I know a little about wine and french food but I am not an expert yet ;)
Second think I can share is my improv theatre experience ! But if you start you'll become addicted.
