About Me

***I AM AWAY FOR THE SUMMER***
I will be in Newfoundland for two months and then travelling in Europe. If you want to meet up feel free to contact me

ABOUT ME
I am originally from Québec, but in the past years I have travelled a lot for work, mostly within Canada. I have been to Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Ontario and now I just moved to Winnipeg in Manitoba for my Master's degree. I am very friendly and open-minded person. I get easily excited by stuff and I am always very happy to meet new people.

I am a biologist and my research interests are focused on ecology and marine exosystems. My study species right now are gulls. If somehow you are wondering what kind of bird wakes you up in the morning or why gulls are jerks, I am the person to ask :)

I have a lot of energy. I love hiking, rock climbing and skiing. When I travel, I want to be surrounded by nature, thus I am more attracted to parks and small towns than visiting big cities. Although I still enjoy a little of the city life and leanr about the local culture. I like taking pictures of wildlife, so if you know a good spots for that, don't hesitate to share! I also LOVE great beers (not in a alcoholic way, more in a connoisseur kind of way).

PHILOSOPHY
La nuit porte de garage.
Don't waste time and energy on regrets

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have started travelling by myself and couchsurfing seems like a great opportunity to make my trips less lonely.

Music, Movies, and Books

If you want to make me talk, simply mention a mad man in a blue box and I could go for hours (unless it starts boring you)
Music : NOT country (can't stand it), otherwise I enjoy pretty much anything (mostly rock though). Favorite band is Muse.
Movie : How to train your dragon, Star Wars and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
Book :1984 and Harry Potter

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have captured, handled and studied with 10 different species of seabirds. I have lots of stories and pictures about that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have travelled a lot in Eastern Canada, if you want to know some tips about places to visit I could probably give you some. In any case I can also teach you French, how to identify common bird species and how to make maple syrup. I can definitely share some funny/strange/disgusting stories about my field work. I also enjoy philosophical and political debates, so if you are craving for discussion on the meaning of life, you found the right person.

I am always curious and interested in everything, so whatever you do in life, I want to learn about it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be happy to cook something or go for coffee or beer with you.
