About Me

Constantly questioning, constantly confused but I don't think I'd have it any other way.
A creative soul though a bit too idealistic sometimes and cynical other times, lost in the contradictions of life.
A friendly but slightly awkward/quirky person trying to find answers by getting out of my comfort zone.
I'm more of a mountain person than a beach person and definitely more of a homebody than a partygoer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently on my first big adventure and am hoping to experience other people through their way of life. When strangers become friends, the world feels less intimidating.

I think I put too many interests down there, but I am very interested in being interested!

Music, Movies, and Books

Top Music: Pink Floyd! The Avett Brothers, Modest Mouse, the Beatles, Portugal the man, Elliott Smith, Bob Dylan. Lots of 60s/70s and folksy stuff, but I'm pretty good with any music.

Tv: Game of Thrones, Bojack Horseman, Black Mirror, the walking dead

Movies: The Room, which you should go see if you haven't. I've seen Spirited Away, Yellow Submarine and Rocky Horror more times than I can count. I don't have any particularly favorite movies, I just like the communal aspect of watching and enjoying or discussing a movie with someone. Also Wes Anderson!

Books: I go through spurts of reading once a year and generally like heavily metaphorical literature, healing memoirs, and creative commentary on society

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not one experience in particular, but just being as content as I am now after a bit of a rough patch in life is something I am proud of :).

Teach, Learn, Share

Stories, deep conversations, fun times, a good listening ear, I will hopefully make you laugh
Will teach you a bit of photoshop or indesign!
You can practice your English with me if that's your second language.
I would love to learn anything you can teach, even if I'm physically incapable of doing it (like juggling, I'm awful at juggling)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a great listener and give great back massages
I will draw you something
I can clean and organize your space if you want
I will attempt to cook for you, though I'm still in the process of getting better (but we can cook together and make fun mistakes)
We can play some interesting games together or just chill and hang out
I can just help out with whatever :)
