ABOUT ME

i don't like to stay in one place too long. there's too many places to see to stay in one place.

i want to live as lightly as possible. one of my proudest accomplishments recently was being able to pack my entire life (minus a box or two) into my 2 seater hatchback car. i hope to keep it that way.

PHILOSOPHY

i had a recent writing exercise - you wrote for about a half hour about various random topics. in the end, you defined what would make you happy in life. this is my statement:

"travel/live anywhere that provides me with new, interesting, exciting, enlightening, rewarding experiences constantly. remember how lucky i am and try to give a little back every day. commit to live and not to make money to live."

i think that pretty much sums it up.

i love the idea of a vast network of people sharing experiences together. i'd like to meet people from all over.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far, i have only positive things to say about it. i've hosted as well as surfed and love meeting people from all over.

the coolest thing that happened was a friend of a friend asked to surf with me prior to even knowing there was a mutual friend! it reminds me of how small and big the world is at the same time.

Interests

i love anything creative. i draw, paint, photograph, knit, crochet and am now learning to sew!

i also run, swim and bike. i also like hiking and being outdoors in general.

i love to cook - especially recipes i kind of make up. i am really excited about the csa i just joined and all of the tasty vegetables i'll be getting from it.

i don't like living where there's winter, but i like going to wintry places so i can snowboard!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i lived and traveled for a year around europe. it was fantastic to incorporate myself into the paris neighborhood in which i lived. i hope that the year i lived abroad was just a start and i'll do this again in the future.
