About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making life work in the town I just moved in to, Girona. Starting a new job, trying to make new friends and feel fine with the stability in my life. I feel most in my comfort zone when I am traveling and do not have any attachments so this is a new chaper for myself and my partner.

We have been fortunate enough to stay with others on our travels, and now we want to have others stay with us on theirs.

ABOUT ME

If you end up surfing in my place, you will also meet my boyfriend, we live together in our small cozy appartment, so it is not only about me but about us. We have a very interesting story on how we met as he is from the United States (Washington State) and I am from Barcelona. We've been sharing paths since 2013, long time! We will tell you more about it when we meet in person. We are veeery easy-going people, funny and humble. If we are having a bad day we just have to go to a sushi restaurant and we will feel better immediately. I would say we are very emotionally intelligent as we are always working on ourselves and looking inside of us. We are nomads by heart and have always been on the go, so this chapter of our life is very interesting...as we needed to settle down to be able to be together legally and also, of course, save some money. It has not been easy to be in one place for a while and work and do traditional things. But we are finding a lot of positive aspects too. However, we know we will be on new adventures again in the coming years, so if you want to visit Girona with the best company, do it now as we are here! :)

PHILOSOPHY

Logan and I try to be as eco-friendly as possible. We are not perfect but we believe small actions are as important as big ones that governments should do. We don't have cars and move around by bike, try to buy food in refilling stores and avoid as much plastic as possible, we avoid buying things we don't need and try to reuse clothes and objects that we find in second-hand markets. We have travelled a lot together and strongly believe in human connections no matter age, nationality or cultural/social background, we are very open minded people and always want to have a good time with those ones we meet on our way. We are very openminded and we give respect and love to everyone and expect little in return, however if you dont write the words, Horse-Teeth, in the subject of your message request, im afraid your message will be lost to time. We believe less is more. We are in love with the little things in life: sharing stories, a nice meal with friends, nature, snorkeling, hiking, good tea, good food, community, laughter... and of course, Love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started using couchsurfing a while ago. I've hosted people from New Zealand and Ukraine when I was living and studying in Barcelona and I've surfed several couches around France, Belgium and Netherlands in a hitchhiking trip, and also in my last trip around Latin America. All of them were excellent. Now it is time to be more of a host again, as my boyfriend and I are settled down in the beautiful town of Girona and we finally have an appartment for ourselves. We want to travel the other way around by hosting travellers from around the world and hear their stories and lifestyles. We love to be in contact with international people and couchsurfing is the perfect tool for that :)

Interests

I am definetely an outdoors person, as I enjoy the most when I'm exploring a new area (aka travel). I love walking around cities and finding cool places (restaurants, museums, bars, exhibitions..) as well as being in nature. Spending time in the mountains and in the beaches of Costa Brava makes me the most happy person on Earth. In the summer I love to hike for 3-4 days along the paths of GR92 (a beautiful trekking route that goes all along the coast of Catalunya) while swimming in the pristine beaches.
I also like to write, to read cool articles and books, to ride my bike, to eat sushi, photography, african dancing and going to second-hand and food markets.
I'm very into spiritual practices such as astrology, women empowerment, healthy and conscious diet and personal growing practices.

(Things about Logan because he insists that you know something about him because he thinks he is cool as fuck ((also he wrote this part)) Logan likes drawing and painting, Magic the Gathering, wine, beer, excellent food, reading fantasy and science fiction, chill cafes, hiking, bike riding, podcasts, and authentic people who know themselves and arnt afraid to share their feelings. Lets cry together! Lol, Just kidding. Also; if you like MTG you are an instant accept, no questions asked ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Call me by your name, Intouchable, Blood Diamonds, Into the wild, Motorcycle Diarys, Little Miss Sunshine, Captain Fantastic...everything good that makes you think a little bit and touches your heart.
Music: any kind of music, but the sound of a good guitar and a good voice makes me crazy. Folk and indie music are prob my favourite styles.
Books: Siddharta, The little prince, The alchemist, books about alternative ways of education and living, personal growing books, everything from Ryszard Kapuscinki and Eduardo Galeano.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a pilgrimage in summer 2013 called Camino de Santiago (St James Way),in the north of Spain of 800km in 5 weeks. The best experience of my life so far.
The Atacama desert, in the North of Chile, is breathtaking, too. It's like being in another planet. I have a deep connection to that place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Catalan and Spanish because I love languages, and any Spanish/Catalan cultural things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my time and my cooking, as I love to cook for others and share the meal while we talk about life and our experiences and funny or crazy stories.
I also love showing my city to visitors, so if I have time when you are around and you want, I will be more than happy to do a little tour to you and point out cool places and things to do.
