About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Our mission is to embrace life as it comes and to travel the world.
ABOUT ME
So I have decided to amend the "All about you" section because the first version made it sound like I packed a calculator in by backpack before heading out the door! First version: "Laura and I are young professionals who love to get out and see the world. We are in our first month of a 6 month stint through E. Europe, Asia, Africa and South America."
Revised Version: Laura and I finished school and got really great high paying jobs in the states. One night we were looking at each other over dinner and said, this whole selling your soul for a dollar thing kinda sucks, so we voluntarily quit our jobs, rented our flat and bought some backpacks. Other than missing our family, bad ass friends and the last episode of Dexter season 4, it has been the best decision since tying the knot.
Hope to drink good beer and share great memories with you!
PHILOSOPHY
Wow...deep!
We live not as citizens of the United States, but as citizens of the world.
We try our best to exhibit (rather than just believe in) a set of defined values that include (but not limited to) compassion, loyalty, empathy, friendship, understanding, patience, love, happiness while coexisting with my fellow man and woman.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We will do our best to get out in each and every city to build our network and to spread the word.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First night in Cologne Germany, we were welcomed by a group of great people and slept in a warm comfy flat. Later in Berlin, we were joined by a great guy from India. Spent Holi in Jaipur with Manu and the fam and was saved by Buku in Calcutta. So far 143 CS
Interests
We love music...Jazz, Hip Hop, Drum and Bass, Electronica and everything in between. DJ Shadow, Burial, Thievery Corporation, A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, Coltrane, Ella Fitzgerald, Radiohead, you name it... we probably dig it.
Since entering Germany I am also very interested in excellent beer! So far, I have been experiencing this interest on a daily basis!
We are also interested clocking as many miles, museums, castles, mosques, churches, friends, late nights, crack of noon mornings and Doner Kebab dinners as possible in the next six months!
