About Me

I tend to travel the world a bit. I grew up in a melting pot that is Hawaii, and i think I developed my love of the different cultures and flavors of the world there.

Now my husband and I live in Xalapa Mexico. Xalapa is in many ways is very much like my hometown of Seattle Washington. The people here are warm, friendly and open minded. There is local theatre, music, and so many festivals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One day my friend Babs showed up to pick me up for a planned excursion, and she had with her a couchsurfer, who was being dropped off along the way. The surfer was staying with Babs while she attended a guitar-making workshop. I'm here to meet and share experiences with amazing and iteresting people!

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a hard category for me, as I like a lot of things, from different genres.

I think my easiest pick is among actors. I love Paul Neuman because, aside from the famous blue eyes, he also was so good his presence elevated the acting of every other actor in the piece. I also really like Eilene Davidson, because in addition to her diversity of characters, as a bad girl, she was never one dimensional. I could see every thought or insecurity travel across her face, and never felt like she was motivated out of just meanness.

Meatloaf, Dolly, Los Angeles Azules, Lily Allen, Michael, The Femmes, Gianluca Grignani, The Princess Bride, Pride and Prejudice BBC Version, Rap Replinger, Bumatai, As for books Fantasy and historcial fiction, preferably English Renaissance. Also anything cooking related.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've finally learned to how to make a tortilla that puffs up and stays flexible. I'm pretty proud of that, as it took me a a very long time to learn.
