Overview
About Me
I am a generally open minded person, like my dad used to say about himself "citizen of the world". I love experiencing life from different view-points - both literally (travelling, always moving, climbing up hills or trees or buildings) and phylosophically (trying out new experiences, talking to people with life stories much different than mine, trying to step in other peoples' shoes). I am an absolute fan of non formal learning, creating learning experiences out of anything, making learning and development fun, active and hands-on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I truly believe that the best way how to get to know another culture when travelling is through the eyes and stories of locals. I also really like to get to know new people, hear and see how they are living their lives, because I believe that we can learn and teach each other so much. I am usually travelling on budget and prefer to stay in not so touristy places, therefore couch surfing is the perfect solution :)

Music, Movies, and Books
My Spotify says that my most listened to genres are - modern rock, pop, rock, latvian hip hop, rap , indietronica, indie rock etc - I listen to almost anything and can not imagine my life without a musical background.
Regarding movies, I usually watch either light, fun comedies or dramas based on true stories that I can learn from. One of my favorite movies is Mr.Nobody.
In childhood I used to read a lot and mostly books about adventures, now I guess I prefer to live those adventures and spend less time reading, although I would like to take up more time for it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to live abroad - in Barcelona - for 6 months when I was barely 18 as a part of Erasmus+ volunteering activity. It tought me a lot about life, about myself, about my culture as well as many others.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will gladly cook for or together with hosts, share funny or lifechagning stories about my travels or about sailing or non formal education activities.
