About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make people laugh.
ABOUT ME
I'm currently under construction. For now, I'm a vegetarian. I like small groups of people and conversation. My degree is in Economics, International Relations, and European Studies.
Like many who came before me, I found myself sitting in a cubicle at a computer. One day I discovered, nested within one of an unspeakable number of emails, a “professional” photo that had been taken of me days before. As I surveyed my features to locate any evidence of a contentment which seemed painfully absent, I was struck with a horrifying vision of myself in 5 years, wearing a pant-suit and grossly overusing the word “leverage.”
Which brings us to now. I didn’t stay in that cubicle. I stopped using the word leverage. Since I said my goodbyes to cubicle life, I’ve substitute taught many classrooms of impudent 15 year-olds. I’ve started a business. I’ve tried my hand at stand-up comedy. I've traveled as much as possible.
MY PHILOSOPHY
I mean I still can't even decide if I'm on Team Edward or Team Jacob...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd just like to meet you, in whatever capacity that may be.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed many couches in Europe and the United States through both this website and Hospitality Club. I've been hosting visitors at my home in Fayetteville for the last 3 years. A++ would surf/host again.
Interests
I'm an avid concert-goer. A talkative introvert. A directionless millennial.
Look, I'm just trying to have as much fun as I can while I can still get away with it.

Favorite Musician: Andrew Bird

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I stayed at a Tibetan monastery in India for a week, and the monks that hosted me were some of the greatest individuals I have ever encountered in my life. I felt like, after only a week, and, in some cases, after chatting for only a few minutes, that I had known these people my entire life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like chatting about everything except sports. I even like small talk. I even like acting as a pseudo-intellectual while too inebriated to even make a sentence. I like to have funny face contests.
I want to learn about everything ever (except sports and tai chi).
I want to discuss fulfilling ways to live and learn. I'd like to know what you do to get the most out of your hours and days and weeks. And I'll share with you what I do, or what I plan to do to get the most out of mine.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I usually bring a six-pack of beer with me as a thank you for letting me stay. Let me know what you're favorite kind of beer is, and I'll customize it for you :3
