About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Become batman. After that, learn how to break dance.
ABOUT ME
Words used to describe me: quirky, crazy, talkative, sweet, weird and fun.
Curious? I am. I would host me, you should too!
How is the sales pitch so far?
What if I make it for a limited time only? Did I mention hosting me is FREE?
Don´t miss out.
Ok, seriously though, here's some stuff about Laura (NOTE: The Laura actually rarely refers to herself in 3rd person ... because it's stupid).
I am somewhat nerdy. I like books, film, art and talking (I like talking a lot actually, if this is bothersome you may not enjoy me). I love swimming and generally just doing things. Other things I do include stencilling my own T-shirts and drinking tea ... tea is good. I don't smoke but I do drink, not every night but certainly most weekends.
PHILOSOPHY
If you spend your life living under a rock the only thing you will ever know is the bottom of that rock.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I send people emails, then I show up at their house and eat their food and sleep. My participation is a lot of sleeping and showering in peoples' houses. It's a bit creepy actually...
In reality, I love couchsurfing. I love meeting people and getting to know them. I try always to be a good and considerate surfer. I think CS is the best concept I have come across in SOOOO long.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I absolutely love it! I have stayed with hosts now in Argentina, Chile, Peru and Bolivia, Italy, Germany, Austria and heaps more that I'm too damn lazy to type. I honestly think it is the best way to travel, meet people and really understand about their culture ... not the culture in tourist guides, the real thing.
Interests
I think I answered this in the "All about you" section. To recap: books, film and travelling.
Some other items: I love bubbles (I challenge any one who has a bad word to say about them), I own a kaleidoscope - because I like the pretty colours and I think playing frisbee and flying kites are genuinely blissful.
Sadly, also, I think I'm funny.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have terrible taste in music, everyone is always reminding me of this. I like anything I can dance to (stuff like pop, anything from the 80s, 90s hip hop - hey, I told you it was rubbish!)
Books: I love the modern classic novels like The Great Gatsby, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Catcher in the Rye. Though not intentional, I tend to favour American writers for modern classics. I also think Oscar Wilde is a hoot.
Movies: I like film a lot and will watch almost any genre. One of my most recent favourites is "Napolean Dynamite", come on, it's just funny.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Carnival in Oruro, Bolivia. OMG!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to stencil your own design on a T-shirt (it's cooler than you think) and share some "Australian" (English more likely) card games with you.
I do solemnly swear not to force you to eat Vegemite.
What I Can Share with Hosts
To be perfectly honest, I can offer the same as any other CSer - myself. I guarantee that I always pack my personality and I'll happily share it with anyone who's interested.
