Hey!

My name is Laurynas, I`m from Lithuania and I`ve lived there up until I turned 18 when I decided to move the United Kingdom. The reason why I moved is to study. I studied culinary events management but dropped out because I hated cooking food under stress (I don`t know what else did I expect studying this subject), I`m still a fairly good cook so yes, I will cook You dinner if I stay with you! From time to time. So I`ve been living in London for 2.5 years now and I absolutely love it. It`s so different from the quite city I`m from. It`s vibrant, unique and multicultural so if You have never been - I definitely recommend it! Anyway, it`s not about the city - it`s about me.

I work as an events manager in the beautiful venue called The Brewery and it`s amazing. I`ve never thought that I will find a job I will love so much. Work gives me so much joy that I can`t even describe it.

A bit about my personality: I must say - I`m weird. In a good way of course. I`m outgoing, like meeting new people but at the same time I can be a bit shy and nervous but once I get comfortable - I`m the funniest person You will get to meet. I`m very tidy. I mean it. My attention to detail is out of this world. Also I`m a hard worker and very passionate. Especially when it comes to my job.

I have an uncontrollable love for Marmite and a controllable love for gin. I love a good night out, dancing my soul away as much as I love a quite night in watching a movie with a glass of a good wine. Feels like I`m writing a description about myself for a dating app. I shall stop.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason why I`m here is because in two months I`m travelling to Australia, Sydney and need somewhere to stay! Also the idea of meeting new people during my stay sounds amazing. I`m sure I will continue using the website when I travel to the different countries too.

Movies: Interstellar, Sin City, Kill Bill vol. I and II are hands down my favourite movies. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Martian, Batman.. They are all great.
