Overview
About Me
Hello everyone!!! I am a happy, adventurous, laid back chick from the big city with a small town vibe. My friends describe me as genuine, easy going, an old soul. I'm forever humbled and grateful for this life! I strongly believe in the power of attitude and mindset.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've made some wonderful connections through CS. There's so many good people out there and I strive to find them in the midst of this crazy world we live in.
I am all for supporting fellow travelers! Since I've lived in Raleigh my whole life I'm a good person to talk to if you're visiting. I'm not actively hosting anymore due to my current roommate not being comfortable with it but I'm all for meeting up or just providing suggestions on what to do. I look forward to being able to host again someday. I can point you in any direction to get to what you're looking for...and Raleigh has it all!
CS has also been a wonderful way to make friends while traveling. I enjoy traveling solo, I feel that I am my best version of myself when I'm alone and lost (:
Interests
For starters, I'm a hula hooper! That is my passion; I love the serenity of hoop dance. I'm also a book worm and a beer snob. I like to hike, do jigsaw puzzles and coloring books, and drive. I run Raleigh's hippie taxi.

Music, Movies, and Books
Live music. All music. Every genre, every decade. Music is my religion.
Across the Universe. Fever Pitch. Almost Famous. Toy Story. I enjoy movies but haven't seen very many because my nose is always in a book!
Autobiographies/memoirs, fiction, mystery/suspense. Most recent reads include "Kitchen Confidential" by Anthony Bourdain and "My First Five Husbands" by Rue McClanahan.
Currently working on "I'm a Stranger Here Myself" by Bill Bryson, a hilarious and informative read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove across the country at age 20 and started the journey alone. 9,509 miles total. In a 5-speed Kia!
I've completed my 2nd cross country journey in the trusty Kia: 12,464 miles and now I've been to 49 states! Someone take me to Hawaii!!! ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I love meeting new people because you can always learn from others. Everyone can teach me something. I want to hear your opinions, stories, and all the silly facts you know no matter how irrelevant they are. I'm curious about humans in general.
I can teach you hoop dance and share smiles. I don't know much about cooking but I enjoy it and will happily provide groceries in exchange for cooking lessons.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very agreeable and easy going. I am independent to roam a city alone but also down to tag along with whatever entails your daily life. I'm a good listener and love trading travel stories. I will help you with dishes or buy you a beer, fold the sheets or just assist with whatever odd job you may need. I'm a courteous guest.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bahamas, Canada, France, Italy, Mexico, Spain
