About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making the world my playground.

ABOUT ME

Hello there!

Spending a year in the US did a lot of things to me. Mostly it made me want to go experience the rest of the world. This is not an overnight project, I know. But I will do it a small step at a time.

We used to travel each summer with my family - been in most west-european countries and I have seen many different cities. However, I want to go see some places on my own now. Well not completely on my own. But I want to travel to meet local people and see local places - the places that are not overcrowded by tourists. This is one of the things I got from my year abroad - you don't just learn to understand a culture from one day to another by seeing the most popular sights. You will have to talk to people, and meet them the places they usually go to.
This is how couchsurfing turns out to be a great tool!

I would describe myself as polite and outgoing. I know how to clean after myself - and I don't want to be at any incovenience. I might, however, be too much of a planner - something I'm trying to exclude by taking spontaneous descissions.

PHILOSOPHY

I would really like to be more spontaneous and impulsive than what I am now. I think that is how you experience things that you will tell your grandchildren about :)

"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences". - P. J. O'Rourke

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm living with my parents in a rural area in Denmark. Probably not the most exciting place to borrow a couch - but we do have a lot of them.
I will hopefully have my own place in a few years, and I will share it as much as possible!

Also I would like to meet people around the world, and if possible borrowing couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfed with my brother, Christian, for 10 days in Poland and the Czech Republic in the summer of 2011. It was a really great time.
Also, CS turned out to be a very helpful tool and gateway to some amazing opportunities in Australia.
The forums of CS is also where I met my travel companion for nearly a month's worth of motorbiking around Vietnam

My family and I have hosted a little and I've spent time with fellow surfers here in the country

Interests

Quite a few things catch my interest.
For instance:Photography (This is a big interest!), history, traveling, politics, tech, music - you name it.
I used to play the drums a lot, but I'm not doing as much anymore.

I love running too. I ran a marathon a few years back - something I most definitely want to do again!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived driving around on a motorbike in Vietnam

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want, I'll teach you a few things about photography. If that turns out to bore you, we can try with whatever I know about farming or maybe running?
Aaaaand I can teach how to play "Popcorn" on your cheeks with a spoon, if the above doesn't cut it for you.

I would however, really like to be a better cook!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
