Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I can't host people, but I'd like to get a coffee or a drink with you, or even better, find an adventure of some kind.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't care that much about the traditional sightseeing and strange encounters, stories and unexpected things are much more interesting.
It also makes me happy to think that there are so many people who are willing to share their home and thoughts and experiences with others.

Interests

Art and poetry and literature. Traveling, especially by the train, getting lost in new places and meeting wonderful crazy people.
The ocean, sailing, endless summer nights and adventures.
New ideas, different cultures, different approaches to life.
Wandering aimlessly in the streets of new cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to any music I find inspiring and it really depends on my current mood, so it's difficult to define by genre. Ultimate favourites include Bach, Janis Joplin, Skepta and Janelle Monae.

My favorite movies at the moment are the movies of Wes Anderson and Tarkovsky.

I love reading, and a few of my favourite authors at the moment are Dostoyevsky, Tove Jansson, Annie Dillard and Michael Ondaatje. Also included are Virginia Woolf, Anne Carson and Paul Celan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's difficult to choose, so I will choose the most recent: moving to Florence to find something new and beautiful. Or interrailing through Balkan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure if I have any special talents I could share (I have to think about this. I'd like to be able to teach something. Though I know something about art and history.), but I always love to learn new things even if it was about making pancakes, astronomy or how the universe works.
