Intereses

At the moment I have a lot of free time, but I always stay busy doing just the things I want to be doing. I'll admit sometimes I try to fit too much in one day.

Most of my day consists of taking care of my well being by exercising, reading and socializing. I love bike tours and plane rides!

Música, películas y libros

As far as books go I like books coming from latin america. Marquez, Galeano, Allende etc. I love travel guides, mostly because of my travel bug and my love for geography. I'm super into Murakami right now and I've been picking books back up from my youth over the years.

I'm way into movies and enjoy seeing indie films at violet crown. I love foreign films and ones by Iñarritu, Almodovar, Jodorosky, Lynch, Von Trier, Clark, Waters, Anderson.

As far as type of music, it's always hard for me to categorize what i listen to. I like anything with a distinct sound. I am always listening to newly released albums and love discovering new bands. I especially like folk music from other countries. Shoegaze, new wave, 60s Peruvian chicha, Cuban jazz, Chilean disco pop, tango, electro cumbia, flamenco, champeta, bachata.

I'm a big food dood, I love to try the hip new places in town with my chef friends but I also love the places with great food that's inversely proportionate to the decor. I love Peruvian, Mexican, and Vietnamese food because they are so spicy. Basque sheep cheese and marcona almonds will always have my heart. These are all for special occasions, I usually eat something very simple and nourishing.
