ABOUT ME

I have been living in the embrace of Grandmother Mountains in Asheville, North Carolina since 2010. I study Chinese Internal Martial Arts, Sacred Bellydance, and Methods for Holistic Healing. I am an Intuitive Astrologer and Sacred Movement Artist currently teaching my own blend of yoga, qi gong, and intuitive movement.

Dancing, moving energy, communing with the stars.. I am also learning to drum, enjoying ceremony, reading about Mary Magdalen, and serving tables at a Caribbean restaurant. It's all part of the dance. My focus and my passion lies with exploring healing realms. Remembering who I have been, who I am, and bringing in clarity so that others can remember themselves.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I backpacked Europe Fall 2007 and couchsurfed there with some extremely kind folks. Upon return, I moved to Boston and became a host in that town. Since leaving Boston I have not participated as a host, but I have been here in spirit! I live in a house full of women who have enjoyed many couchsurfers passing through.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I LOVE couchsurfing. I find that the people who participate are most often the type of people I most enjoy - openminded, friendly, trusting... I always learn from a couchsurfing experience, especially as a host. And by "learn" I mean devour a delicious foreign meal that I force my guests to slave over in a hot kitchen (without spatula or cutting board) for hours.

Intereses

Internal Alchemy. Seriously! Haha. Who knew I would make my life into an exploration and synthesis of spiritual cultivation techniques? This is where my path has led. I study all different forms of internal alchemy and I am in a process of blending them - yoga, qi gong, internal martial arts, astrology, shamanic journeying, toning, mind-directed intent.. I am a healing arts junky.

Not much for movies these days.
My partner is a sound-healing artist, and I love his music. Meditative guzheng with native flute, hand pan. He also drops luscious beats and adds a mystical flair.
I'm a big fan of afrobeat, neo-soul, West African and North African tunes, Middle-Eastern tunes, and good old-fashioned hip-hop.

I'll teach you how to smile, if you need help in that arena.
I love to share eating healthful meals directly from the earth. I will by default teach you about astrology because that's the language I generally speak.
