COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did pretty well with meeting great people through CS while studying in Copenhagen and traveling Scandinavia. I also loved the diverse and welcoming CS community in my neighborhood in New Orleans.

I love to fingerpick guitar rhythmically & repetitively, and to play r&b-informed bass with a live drummer.

I like this. Some years back, some friends and I briefly attempted to revive the "Junto" -- essentially a footnote I clung to after re-reading Ben Franklin's Autobiography. It was, in large part, exactly what Couchsurfing is toying with right here: a free school, in loose form.

DID YOU KNOW? Ben Franklin's favorite of his many inventions: the glassarmonica. A musical instrument inspired by wet fingers on wine glasses, consisting of concentric quartz bowls on a spindle powered by pedal, producing cherubic sounds that found mass popularity until subsequently blamed for stillbirths and madness.
