ABOUT ME

I like to think but I also like to go with my gut. I believe in the supernatural, but I don't just go along with every crazy out there, I think it out first. I like to travel and have hopes for a trip in the future that includes Africa and India.

I am currently studying counseling. I want to be a counselor for youth ages 14-24 and work with drug addicts, young alcoholics, the depressed, angry, anxious, and lonely.

I tend to be a bit of an oxymoron at times. I love to sit with one or a few people over drinks and discuss things. The trick here is that I am often silent. I say I enjoy talking with people, but more than that, I like to listen to people and occassionally give up a few words of my own. I love to hear people´s stories and problems even. I find that my life is most fulfilling when I am giving aid to someone and being the best person I can be.

PHILOSOPHY

To live and to love. I live to love. I love to live. I want to make one person smile per day (at least). I like to make people happy and I like to help people. My sole occupation is to love. (quote from a friend, but applies to me as well). I sometimes have trouble loving people, but I seek to love everyone even though I might think they are wrong, mean, or just downright cruel. My religion is about not just loving people but also being kind to the people who make it so hard to be kind. I seek to join the Honorable Order of the Mustard Seed sometime in the future, which is a group within a group, not a means to an end.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just getting into this...but when I get a place of my own in a few years, I'll be offering up my flat to just about anyone who happens to be passing through. It's been good to surf on some awesome couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed a few couches and it is a wild, wonderful, crazy experience. There are so many awesome people out in couchsurfer world and I have been given the opportunity to meet a few of these cool cats. It has been a good time so far.

Wow...what am I interested in? You...people...life...love...the things that should matter the most and the things that don't seem to matter at all. I like to stare down oxymorons and laugh at how amazing they are.

I'm totally down on learning new languages. In high school I took 1 year of Latin, 2 years of German, and 3 years of Spanish. For some reason, the spanish didn't stick much at all and the german clung to me much quicker. Unfortunately, the german classes were not the best. I studied german in college, and it was in Germany that I learned the most. I want to live for a while in south america and learn spanish and also learn french from a couple of my french speaking friends.

Movies: Donnie Darko, V for Vendetta, Charlie Bartlett, The Anarchist Cookbook (It's less about the book and more about irony), Jackass 1 and 2, Memento, A Clockwork Orange, Tweek, The Butterfly Effect, Casshern, Less Than Zero, American History X.

Music: I love so much music that my computer hates me. I carry my flash drive with me everywhere so that whenever I find a willing donor, I can rip their music off of their computer. I'm up to about 8,000 songs on my ipod right now. I listen to 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and current music. I'm always searching for more. The only genre I will list specifically is trance (and especially psytrance) because there is a certain body of us that dig that stuff and I'm always looking for more people.

Books: Black, Red, White -Ted Dekker, not to mention the many others he's written and all books by C. S. Lewis, Tozer, Tolkein, and Brennan Manning.
Other authors include: Frank Peretti, Joshua Porter, Chuck Palahniuk, Franz Kapfka, Aldous Huxley, Irvine Welsh, Bradley Hathaway, and John Crowder. I don't read enough...that's my thought.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

I haven't done much yet... but coming to Germany and studying there for the semester was the most amazing yet. Finishing out the semester by traveling all over europe was crazy. Wait until you hear of my adventures.

Ucz innych, ucz się sam, udostępniaj

I want to learn. I think everyone needs to tap back into learning and always learning. Others can teach us so much and if we just make ourselves open to it, then it comes without effort.
