ABOUT ME

I'm an affable, easy-going chap. Friendly, honest, reliable. Laugh a lot. People tell me I'm very easy to be around. Positive! :) I like to cook, work within a team of people and be useful! Have many skills!
Have a regular meditation and yoga practice.
Have four brothers and one sister and am used to being part of a tribe :) Close to my family and miss them (especially my little brothers whom I helped to raise)
Good with kids. Love dogs and cats! Play guitar sometimes when it doesn't bother anyone!
Enjoy nature immensely. A free-spirit.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we are all connected in this life and that whatever I do affects the world and those around me. I want to affect the world in a positive way. I believe in open communication and treating others the way I'd like to be treated. I believe that we are all here to celebrate being ALIVE!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am conscientious around the house and keep things clean and tidy. Helping out others makes me happy and I like to be useful any way I can. I cook, am good in the garden, paint, teach yoga, baby-sit (have nieces and nephews), do dishes, vacuum, clean windows, walk pets and grow things!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am fairly new to couchsurfing. Have couchsurfed recently in New York and had a fantastic experience. My host ended up writing me a nice reference and vouching for me! Thanks Amber! :)

Films: I usually love films involving Gene Wilder, Carl Reiner, Mel Brooks, Patrick Stewart, Sean Connery, Guy Pierce, Judy Dench, Robert Downey Junior, Zack Galifianakis, Richard Gere, Jim Carey.

Music: Sting, Fleetwood Mac, Snow Patrol, Orbital, Portishead, Stevie Wonder, Massive Attack, Paul Simons.

Books: Love Charles Dickens novels, Tom Robbins, Rumi poetry, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, especially love words on the page that seem to reverberate the cells in my body and scream of truth!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a volunteer for 3 months at the Mother Theresa hospice for the sick and the dying in Calcutta, India. Was a humbling and magnificent experience!

Can share meditation. Yoga. Guitar. Cooking, and probably many other things that aren't coming to mind right now!
