About Me

I want to see as many beautiful places as I can. Meet some amazing people and share some incredible memories.

I've just moved to Deyang, China. Can't wait to explore Sichuan.

I have previously lived in S. Korea, China (Guangzhou), Thailand, Kurdistan (Iraq), Vietnam and the U.S.

Before moving to Thailand I spent 3 months volunteering in a capital defence firm, in New Orleans, which taught me a great deal about how life isn't just black and white. Having interviews and working for people that are facing the death penalty showed me how fortunate I am.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has been a great way of meeting new people from all walks of life, with so many different stories to tell and such kindness to show. I travelled around Europe and Asia and met amazing people who hosted me and taught me so much about their cities. I hope to explore my city more with the people that I host.

Interests

I love to keep active. I enjoy listening to loads of types of music, drinking a bit, taking photos and reading.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy most types of music. A few of my favorites are the Arctic Monkeys, Rudimental, Alt-J, Portugal the Man, Incubus, Flume, Ben Howard, James Bay, James Blake, Milky Chance, Local Natives and Nina Simone.
A few of my favourite books are; One hundred years of Solitude, the grapes of wrath, a prayer for Owen Meany, 1984, to kill a mockingbird, the alchemist, the trial, a picture of Dorian Gray, the shock doctrine, the book thief and the little Prince.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Thailand and travelling around South East Asia was an amazing experience for me. Running down the outside of an active volcano, in Indonesia, was also pretty sweet.
Completing the Great Wall half-marathon was a highlight of China.
Completing a cycle through Vietnam (with no prior experience cycling) was an amazing way to interact with people and experience kindness from strangers.
