About Me

Hello!

Not worthy sending a request if you don't read my profile.

I'm an easy-going person, but I really like clean and organized spaces. Even my boyfriend suffers sometimes!
Shoes are removed before getting inside the house. :D
We don't smoke. If you smoke, sorry but we cannot host you.

If it's ok for you these standards, we'll happy to get to know you in our planty home.
We have two cute and friendly cats! They're calm and usually a bit shy with people at first.

We are not not party couple and we will not push you to spend every night with us, we know there's a lot to enjoy in Montreal. But it will be a pleasure spending time with you too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to anything, I love discovering new singers!

I'm pretty open for music, but I'm most fan of folk, soul, alternative, rock and samba (Bonobo, Norah Jones, Hozier, SOAD, Janis Joplin, Audioslave, Thiago Iorc, Men I trust, War on drugs, Marisa Monte, Elis Regina, Fatouma, Dakhabrakha, Liniker, Os Tincoas, Amadou et Marian, The XX...).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, for my birthday, I created a fundraising campaign to support an non-profit organization take takes care of wild animals in Brazil and my objective was achieved!!! I felt really happy! \0/

I travelled by bike from Montreal to Mont Tremblant in a day and that weekend there was a tornado happening in USA. At the camping, we had to sleep in the toilet because it was too windy (about 150 km/h). The other day, a tree felt in a tent with people inside (!) where we were supposed to camp initially. We only realized how dangerous it was camping and cycling that weekend after retourning to Montreal.

When I was a teenager, I did two fundraising campaings as well. Once, I raised money to help a friend getting a medecine for her sister. It was very expensive and they couldn't afford it. The other time, there was a boy used to sell candies at the city at night. Once, he went in a pizzaria where I was eating. I offered him a pizza and we talked a bit. His name was Victor. I discovered he was 13 y.o. and had a very poor family, barely getting enough food. I took his mother's number; me and my mother went visit them and they lived at extreme poverty. We started a fundraising campaing and we could help getting construction materials to built their house, we got forniture and monthly food donation. After a while I moved from my city, but I still think of him as an example to never complain about life. He was a great boy. Hope he get a life anyone deserves.

I was in Boston when I saw a guy crying a river at the street. I came talk to him and offer a coffee. He had a daugther he hadn't seen her for a long time and her mother had killed herself. He felt guilty and incapable of helping his daughter since he was homeless. I told him that the will of doing something make a difference. He could go be aside his daugther if that was what he wanted, she'd be happy to get him nearby. We hugged for a long time. That moment was worthy the trip.
