A Londoner with the spirit of a nomad.

Although, I identity mostly as a Brit, I am half Somali and half Pakistani. During my upbringing, I lived all over Europe, which has only increased my hunger for travel. I love meeting new people, exploring new cultures and places.

Journalism and writing has always been my main passion, but I love all things creative. I write about marginalised groups, subcultures and independent music. Currently working on a news story about deported Somali Americans for the BBC World Service.

Also involved in local and national politics. I help with political speech writing and generating support for a party.

Charlie Kauffman is one my favourite directors (Eternal Sunshine, Being John Malkovich).
