About Me

CURRENT MISSION

SEE THE WORLD!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in California, moved away to Washington for college where I could experience the snow, scenery, and other things the Northwest had to offer. I've been a volleyball player my whole life, and now I'm using it as a way to see the world! I'm currently living in Montenegro playing for a season, and we'll see where the wind takes me from here.

I thoroughly enjoy seeing the world and meeting everyone that makes a place what it is. I'm also obsessive about capturing every travel opportunity on film. Someday, I'll have so many pictures I will drown in them, and maybe that will make me kick the habit. But until then, keep the film rolling!

PHILOSOPHY

If you can make one person's life a little better, even for just a little while, then why not?

I'm open minded toward everyone's perspective because that is the best way to learn about the world. If we all had the same views it would make everything pretty dull...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a few times, but I'm really enjoying hosting people from all over the world. It's always fun to learn about a new culture and invite them into your home to share yours.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm just getting my feet wet with couchsurfing, but I see a lot of it in my future!! It's an awesome way to meet people and check out the lesser known parts of a city that make it truly unique. As a host, I've really enjoyed the diversity of guests I've been fortunate enough to meet. We've had some great experiences like ice blocking, cooking international cuisine, and more importantly enjoying good conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

there are too many to list, but it is also difficult to make a "top 5"...i'll do my best:

Movies: Memento, Dot the I, American History X, American Beauty

Music: anything with witty lyrics

Books: A Million Little Pieces, White Oleander, Eat Pray Love, To Kill A Mockingbird

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The hospitality of people is truly amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not that anyone shares this mission but I would like to learn one word in every language. Since this is such a serious task, I have to think of the PERFECT word. Until then, I'll just learn to say "cheers" and how to properly toast someone in a pub (eye contact, no crossing---there are serious rules!!)
