About Me
ABOUT ME
Me and my boyfriend are going to have our big backpacking trip this year from May to end of July. We have been talking about it for 2/3 years and finally it is happening. I quit my job in April in order to do it and make a new start afterwards. I have worked for a Polish company for 3 years that gave me a lot flexibility and opportunite to work remotely but I felt I couldn't learn anything new anymore so that trip was a good reason to push for the change and challenge.
The trip will not only give me the change to see completely different world but I would like also to take is a change to improve my photograph skills.
The trip will start in Hawaii move to Japan for the biggest part, then South Korea, Hong Kong, fly back to Europe. It will be my first trip in Asia so it is very exciting and I have been trying to learn some Japanese before it.
Otherwise, I love learing langauges and speaking about them, I like translating and doing photography. I have been more and more instested in physics (level popular science) lately. I would like to learn more about economics, politics, psycology, there are so many instesting things to read about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best way to explore a place or a culture is by meeting the local people, spending time with them, hearing their thoughts, recommendations, point of view on different topic and just way of thinking. Not to mention that they know the best places to visit, where locals go and are not just a tourist trap.
I aslo enjoyed hosting/hanging out with other travellers as I can show them the place I live and see my country or a city with their eyes as a new thing. This is really exciting to me as I can discover new aspects of a familair place. I found also very intristing to hear their stories about their trips or anything else they find important to share with.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to different genres of music depending what I feel like at the specific moment, to name few: rock, jazz, blues.
Some of of the artists I love the most are Anathema, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Bonobo and I am always to new suggestions. ;)
Som of the movies I have liked the most trough the years: The Lord of the Rings; Mr. Nobody, Cloud Atlas, The Fountain, Space Odyssey.
Some of the books I like the most 1984, Brave New World, Pachinko, The Book Thief, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Avalanche (Bulgarian book).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living one year in Norway among the fjords in a very small place with a quite closed community. I had one of the best views one could get from their window. Despite the amazing nature, one year of rain and living in a very small town was enough for me. :)
Being volunteer on a music festival in a Georgian village with poor conditions, difficult issues and amazing, creative people who want to change the world to better by doing it themselves.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can talk a lot about European languages, cultural differences and share my experience of travelling and living abroad.
I woldl ike to learn things that I cannot name because I do not know them yet. ;)
