I'm a third year student of Political Science at the University of Victoria Canada. I grew up in rural BC in small industry towns. I have spent the last few years working part time in the forestry industry, and going to school. I have and continue to take advantage of every opportunity to broaden my horizons by educating myself about the amazing history of other people.

I'm on Couchsurfing, because I am traveling and it seems like a unique way of meeting new people and learning about a new place. I am interested in meeting people and hearing about their unique ideas and experiences. I hope that by interacting with others we can both benefit from our stories and thoughts. Dialogue is important in securing friendship and erasing prejudice.

兴趣

I am interested in history and the development of ideas over time. I am travelling currently to learn as much about the history and people of the world. This ties into my interest in politics, as politics is about the way people, history, the state, and people of other states interact. I also enjoy a good book, a tasty beer or wine, and chocolate!

I have a sinful passion for grunge rock (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Metallica) and borderline metal music. However, I don't tend to force my music preferences on others and love a smooth mellow jazz. I appreciate other music as well.
My favourite movie is the Godfather and I'm a pretty big fan of drama in general.
"Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett and "Ana Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy are two of my favourite books, but I love all historical fiction and literature equally.

I'm a very clean, respectful and helpful individual. I'm happy to engage in intelligent conversations with my host. I'm happy to clean up after myself and respect house rules. I don't tend to party or be out late. I enjoy chatting with others and hope my host will beep edit from our conversations as much as I will.
