About Me
Hey hey! I live in the crazy city of Tel Aviv, a musician at heart and a video editor by trade. Usually spending a few months every year traveling, visiting friends and catching a few live shows and festivals. I'm gay, and am thankful for that, he he... :-)
Beer - good. Whiskey - better.
Sense of humor - a must.
(This used to be the profile of my former band, The Raw Men Empire, hence the mentions of "guys", "gang" and "the raw men" in the references below)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great way to travel and make new friends! As a touring musician I was lucky to crash couches in Europe and the US and meet great people while doing it. And the couch in my home studio has seen people from all over the world, with many of whom I'm still in touch.
Interests
Films, music, politics, cooking, the meaning of life and cats (the last two are actually the same). In every shape, size and color!

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC:
Zappa, Cardiacs & Beatles freak. Grew up listening to lots of progressive, funk and classic rock, from CSNY through Chicago to King Crimson. Nirvana, Queen and The Doors also have a special place in my heart. And Tom Waits is God!
When it comes to more modern stuff, I love Radiohead, Dirty Projectors, Metronomy, Of Montreol, St. Vincent, Deerhoof, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and many more.
Oh, and given the right mood and the exact amount of beer (or other substances?), I'll dance to just about anything.
FILMS & TV:
Kubrick is my god, Gilliam is my idol, Bob Fosse taught me everything I know, Hanake rules and Woody Allen, Wes & PT Anderson, Fincher, Von Trier, Cronenberg, The Coen Bros., Spielberg and many more all had a strong influence on me. Simpsons & Futurama are divine, Louie rulez, Rick & Morty are hillarious, Suits is my guilty pleasure.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one...? :-O
Well, Ok: While traveling India, I accidentally joined a band one hour before they went on stage, and I ended up playing infront of hundreds of people without even knowing any of the songs. Somehow I managed to get through the gig, which ended with the crowd jumping and dancing like crazy! One of the funniest gigs I've ever had.
