I am a young loving father in a family of 4.

I'm from Texas, USA, and have been teaching English and playing music in South Korea since 2011. Other than those two things, when I have time, I enjoy playing sports like ultimate frisbee.

My partner (Inhai Seo, 31) is from Busan, South Korea, and teaches yoga and studies acupuncture these days but she has many interests!

My son (Lihan, 4) and daughter (Sia, 2) are both very playful and a joy to be with. We appreciate having them in our lives and hope to share many memories with them enjoying life, traveling, and learning new things together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't used couchsurfing since my college road trips and am glad this community is still thriving!

Couchsurfing is an easier way to meet people and make new friends when traveling. I believe that sharing your home is a great way to support travelers and a global community. Paying for accommodations can be really expensive and not the best way to learn about local lifestyles and cultures, but CS really has the potential to open minds and break barriers.

I am here to share these kinds of genuine experiences with people I meet (hopefully new friends) and my family.

Interests

Since having kids, affording the cost and time to travel has been a struggle. Now that the kids have grown a little, we are ready to venture out of our home of South Korea and explore.

I have been playing drums for over half my life and would love to talk about, perform, or teach drums any time. It's truly a lifelong passion of mine.

Ultimate frisbee is one of those sports that has a global community and isn't always focused on winning at all costs. It also has deep roots in the spirit of the game, sportsmanship, and community for all skill levels and ages.

Healthy food... why not! I'm not a picky eater at all but I do tend to naturally stay on the healthy side.

Healthy lifestyle... why not! Life is better when I'm healthy and diet is a major part of that. I'm not a health fanatic but I do care a lot about my kids' diets and activities.

Acupuncture, yoga, meditation, massage therapy- These things are my partner's expertise. She loves studying and practicing the healing methods. She's definitely willing to do, share, and talk about these topics. I'm not particularly fond of acupuncture but I've seen it work wonders for people in pain. If you'd like some yoga or massage therapy, she'd definitely be willing to help out!

We are interested in LEARNing many things, including healthy lifestyle tips and new skills. And, of course, wherever we may be traveling, we would love a real taste of local life and customs.

Knowledge based on our interests mentioned above. We are willing to share what we have brought from South Korea and help clean around the house if needed.

We won't cause any problems and will respect your home and circumstances.
