About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live life to the fullest. this includes meeting new people, experiencing new cultures, and sharing my culture with others.

ABOUT ME

I love to have fun. I'm outgoing and enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places. I have more hobbies than I can list, including music, sports, anything outdoors, partying, and more. I'm pretty much up to do anything as long as it's with good people. My passion is the ocean. The water is my temple.

PHILOSOPHY

"hakuna matata" "se la vie" "what goes around comes around" "live each day to the fullest"... i'm not religious, but i truly believe in the power of staying positive. positive energy spreads like a virus!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have crashed a few couches, and now I'm finally ready to take in couch surfers now that I'm set up in my new apartment. If you seem cool and trustworthy, I can host you, and depending on my schedule when you come, I can probably show you around a bit too. I know Honolulu like the back of my hand, so if you have questions about this place, just ask!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done A LOT of couch surfing, but it's always been couches of friends that I've met through my various travels. Most recent couch-surfing was in New York City and Israel (Tel Aviv and Haifa, to be exact). I've also opened up my home to friends that were in need of a place to stay several times in my life, often for months at a time, despite living in a one-bedroom apartment with two other roomates!

Music, Movies, and Books

my favorite author just passed away, Kurt Vonengut... in the words of Kilgore Trout, "men are assholes. women are psychotic."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I paddled a traditional cayuco canoe from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, 53 miles through the Panama Canal.

Teach, Learn, Share

My interests are diverse, i don't know where to begin... I've coached water polo and outrigger canoe paddling. I teach 9th grade Biology, and taught English to speakers of other languages in the past. Having fun this year learning to code as a Girls Who Code club sponsor. Pretty experienced in the social dances as well- salsa, bachata, kizomba... but my main dance passion is zouk!
