Overview
About Me
I love to travel and have spent significant time living in Mozambique and before that Brazil where I first fell in love with the Portuguese language and international travel. I am a laid back and easy going person who enjoys meeting new people, learning about new countries and cultures, sharing my own stories and experiences, and seeing more of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To connect with other travelers and like minded people. I've had a number of friends who have had great experiences with Couchsurfing and I think it is an awesome way to get a local experience when traveling and an opportunity for cultural exchange and making new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I appreciate good music from a wide variety of genres and languages including rock, hip hop, reggae, bluegrass, jazz, samba, forro.
I enjoy reading a wide variety of books as well but in particular biographies and historical non-fiction.
Following the trend with movies my interests remain diverse. I love comedies, documentaries, dramas, action, thrillers, Brazilian films, and really anything that's not horror.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the favorite trips I took while in Brazil was to the Amazon where I traveled by boat from Manaus up the river for a few days.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Language exchange, stories from growing up in North Carolina, my time in Brazil, and Mozambique. I am a hard worker, eager helper, adventurous, respectful and always down to try new things. I am a great listener and enjoy getting to know people, learning about their lives, and hearing their stories.
