About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find a job in the mountains, hike around up there for the next 30 years or so.
ABOUT ME
I was raised by two college professors, so I'm a somewhat eclectic person. I work with computers, but outside of work, I'm a pretty serious Luddite. I love to hike, camp, fish, read, basically anything outdoors.
People say I'm quiet and reserved, and I guess I am to an extent. I tend to have a pretty dry sense of humor, but I do have a weakness for puns and bathroom humor (all in good taste, of course).
PHILOSOPHY
Never deny who you are. You were created the way you were for a purpose, flaws and all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've mainly hosted people, but stayed with a couple of cool people while traveling through Alaska a few years ago as well. My husband and I are always up for meeting new folks from different parts of the world!
Interests
Reading, camping, hiking, poetry, music; pretty much anything that gets me outdoors and away from technology.

Music, Movies, and Books
"One Hundred Years of Solitude" - Gabriel Garcia Marquez (by far my favorite!)
"Crime and Punishment" and "The Brothers Karamazov" - Dostoevsky
"The Dark Tower Series" - Stephen King
"A Tale of Two Cities" - Dickens
I'm somewhat of a Harry Potter nerd (both the books and the movies)
Anything by H.P. Lovecraft
"The Wheel of Time" series - Robert Jordan
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to Iceland twice. The first time, I played it safe and stayed in a hotel in Reykjavik the whole trip (although I drove around and explored plenty!). The next year, I showed up with practically no plan and drove all the way around the island, just stopping and camping or finding a hotel whenever I got tired each day.
