CURRENT MISSION

I am currently trying to travel the world, visiting friends along the way and discovering new passions. As I travel I plan to spread smiles, spontaneous singing, and hope to change the way Americans from the south are perceived by foreigners.

ABOUT ME

I generally like to plan ahead of time, but that doesn't mean I won't say yes to last minute plans. There is a lot more to that, but thats the readers digest version. Current life plan: Go With the Flow!

PHILOSOPHY

Have a positive outlook! Anything I want to happen I can make happen. It is up to me to create my destiny…no one else will do it for me. If I put one foot in front of the other I'm bound to end up somewhere exciting.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attempted couch surfing when I was studying abroad in France, but it mostly fell through. After that I haven't really tried because I have been in school or working, so I haven't had much time to travel. Hopefully things will turn around and I'll have a little more travel time on my hands!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had the pleasure of hosting a few couchsurfers when i lived in Guadeloupe and at my house in Florida.

兴趣

Being outdoors in general (especially when the weather is nice). I dabble in poetry and fiction writing. I love being in or near the water (salt or fresh). I enjoy swimming, canoeing or floating in rivers, lakes and oceans. I have once attempted to surf, but that was quite a bust. Hopefully I'll get another chance to give it a go soon. I whip out my camera every once in a while to catch what's happening around me. Along the same line I like to visit museums on those days that are meant for being indoors. Watching movies is another way I like to pass the time whether it's in my bed, at a friends house or at the cinema.

I will get to this later I don't have much time right now to fill it all in, but here are a few to quench the thirst of others. Movies: La Piscine, A Bout de Souffle, The Big Lebowski, Amelie, Les Petits Mouchoirs, Samsara, Wet Hot American Summer etc. Music: Shovels and Rope, Talking Heads, Jack White, Ella Fitzgerald, Francoise Hardy, Courtney Barnett, Liz Phair, JD Mcpherson, Charles Bradley, FKA Twigs, Frazey Ford, Tennis, Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside, Fleetwood Mac, Mac Demarco, The Owsley Brothers, Tom Tom Club, Friends, Harlem, Coralie Clement, Queen etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Being invited by a Bordelaise couple to there house (this being rare from what other French folks have told me) for a typical Bordelaise meal. A few friends and I met the couple in a wine bar one night in Bordeaux. The next thing you know, they've invited us to a feast where we ate and drank beyond our hearts desire.

Spending the night in a hot spring at the edge of the sea under a blanket of stars and being serenaded by new friends is an amazing thing I've done in Gwada.

Sleeping in hammocks along the beach after swimming in the sea teaming with bioluminescence is one of the amazing things I've done in Gwada.
