ABOUT ME
While I tend to be quiet in larger groups, when I'm with just a few other people I enjoy conversation. I try my best to be thoughtful and a good listener. My hobbies include baking, running, watching baseball, and making friends with stray animals.
Interests
Current events always grab my attention, but I wouldn't say that is what makes my life engaging. I spend my time baking, running, hanging out with my family, and planning trips (even if I don't get to actually take them).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most things regarding travel leave me awestruck, but what I think is the most amazing is how it causes two people to cross paths who otherwise would never have met. A Berber man along the side of a road in the middle of nowhere Morocco in early 2009 congratulated me on the USA electing Obama president. A college student from Inner Mongolia took me to his favorite Peking Duck restaurant in Beijing. A retired South Korean university ceramics professor showed me around an artists' village just south of the DMZ. I have people I consider friends from countless countries in 6 continents, which in my opinion is so cool.
