About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Move. Change. Grow. Live. Laugh. Love.

ABOUT ME

I'm friendly, easy going, and open-minded l. I love the outdoors and I'm always up for a fun or exciting adventure! I find excitement in the great unknown and I'm always looking for new ways to challenge myself, to learn, and to grow. I love to travel, meet new people, learn new things, and take in as much as I can about the language and culture wherever I am. I've spent the last 8 years living and traveling around the US, Asia, Australia, South America, New Zealand and India. I love people who can make me laugh, teach me something new or anyone to have a great conversation with. I look forward to meeting you! :)

PHILOSOPHY

Love. Give more than you take. Expect nothing. Be grateful. Make others smile. Be true to yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had nothing but lovely experiences from finding people and places on couchsurfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Asia, Australia, US, South America, and India! I've always had wonderful experiences meeting and staying with people from Couchsurfing!

I haven't had the opportunity to host any surfers yet because I have been moving around so much in the past 8 years but one day when I finally settle somewhere I look forward to opening my home to other travelers and backpackers!

Interests

I enjoy spending my time outdoors, doing yoga, traveling. and at festivals/live music events of most sorts. I love to hike, camp, bike, play soccer, climb, swim, fish, raft, pretty much anything that keeps my active and outdoors. I'm interested in learning more about natural building, permaculture and farming! I love food and I like to cook. Food is best when shared with others so I love making big meals for a group of people to all share together. I like to practice yoga and meditation as often as possible. And of course, I'm always down for a good party and dancing!! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all sorts of music, from Classic rock, blues and bluegrass to some electro, house or anything that gets me moving. Some of my favorite artists are:

Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeplin, The Doors, The Beatles, Radiohead, The Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, David Burn/ The Talking Heads, Sublime, Eryka Badu, Rjd2, Thievery Corperation, Peter Green, Jackie Green, Pretty Lights, Desert Dwellers, the list goes on and on and on...

I love to read and am always excited for new book suggestions. Some of my favorite books are are:

Shantaram, The Celestine Prophacey, The Power of Now, The Alchemist, Brave New World, A Gift from the Sea, Ishmael

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked as a Cameleers in central Australia for a year... absolutely amazing creatures and desert.

I worked as a Wilding Pine Contorller in central Otago New Zealand which consisted of jumping out of helicopters with chainsaws..

I walked into Macchu Picchu in the middle of the night along a dark and desolate railway only to see the first glimpses of the amazing ruins in the sunrise.

And so much more!

It's hard to put this into words on here but I have loads of funny and crazy stories from my times traveling the world and of course look forward to always making many more. Let's exchange stories over a cup of tea or a drink.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of experience in the outdoors. I lived in the back country building trails for several months in the Rockies so I'm fairly knowledgeable about how to survive outdoors. I like to do yoga, spin fire, make jewelry and play soccer.

I was a teacher in Taiwan for a year and traveled around SE Asia for another year so if you have any questions about where to go or what to see in those parts of the world I could give some good suggestions.

I have also traveled through a lot of the US, Australia, South America, New Zealand, and India so can give some good suggestions about those places.

I would like to learn more techniques on spinning fire as well as more about farming, natural building and permaculture.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A helping or working hand for projects around your home or garden, food (I love to cook and considerate it a general prerequisite to cook my couchsurfing host at least one meal during a stay), a positive attitude, low maintenance (independent) if you are busy I am happy to do my own thing, or a great companion for a few days if you're free and would like to hang out, conversation, laughs and always lots of light and gratitude!
