I love meeting new people, but especially keeping these friendships! I like to discover other cultures, - ideas and - ways of living, so I can keep learning. Having fun while spending time together is important to me!

ABOUT ME

I have been working in a domestic violance and child abuse centre for over there years now. Next to the sometimes tough job I am a scout leader of girls in the age of 16-19, which I do with all my love and enthusiasm.
From September 2010 until January 2011 I took a break so I could travel around and explore what I really want in life. In the south of France I worked in nature and in Northern Finland I joined a primitive surviving camp. I've met great people from all over the world.
After these first taste of traveling I've went to Thailand, Cambodia and Sri Lanka. It would be amazing to see more beautiful spots in the world!
I love meeting new people but especially keeping these friendships!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I already couched a guy and a girl, both from Mexico/San Fransisco for four days. It was snowing here and I liked it to see them having fun on the white street. It was something they haven't seen a lot before. I let them experience Amsterdam (;-)) and I also showed them around. A guy from Germany, who I also met in France, slept at my place for five days! We also celebrated new years eve together!

I couchsurfed twice in Oulu, Finland. Everybody I met there was so kind. I discovered the inhabitants of Oulu are all really helpful and friendly. Almost everybody has a sauna in their house. I liked trying a real Finnish Sauna! They seem a bit shy when you meet them, but in the sauna (when the're not wearing clothes) they point out to be very honest.

Interests

I'm interested in all kind of people. Sometimes I really don't understand what it's like for people who have to deal with things or to live their life. I'm interested in the way they survive and in the good things they see in life. I really enjoy meeting people from other countries and/or cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read books whit a real message. For example I just read the book written by Waris Diri 'Desert Flower'. Next to that kind of books I also love the Harry Potter series and novels from Dtuch writers.
My favorite actors are Alan Rickman and Johnny Depp (It maken me feel really sad Alan Rickman passed away last January). I like it a lot to watch movies where they perform in.
I like music of Melanie C, Avicii, Nightwish, Nickelback, Marco Borsato, Shakira, The Corrs, Giana Nanini....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think my experience in my third year of my studies was quiet special. I paused my study while my fellow student moved on, so I was able to work for six weeks with young adults from all over the world. It was an experience I'm really glad about. I improved my English and French, met a lot of really great people and just had a lot of fun! I learned a lot about things but also about myself, while being away from the people I'm usually with.
