About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To participate in true hospitality... the love of the stranger.
ABOUT ME
We have been married since 2006 and love to host - some day we dream about owning a home with a separate guest entrance, room, and ensuite. Aside from the details we are both relatively quiet people who love to listen to stories and participate in adventure. Both of us are into playing sports and being active, I mostly played hockey growing up while Chantelle played basketball, volleyball, and track. We are also quite involved in our church in Toronto and love to learn about other faiths and philosophies.
PHILOSOPHY
My favorite words in the bible have always been, "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We really do look forward to being hosts for people in the even though it's a little more difficult hosting people because we are in a dorm style apartment at Wycliffe College in the University of Toronto.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We took an amazing trip through Europe this past summer and loved our couch surfing experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
We both have a pretty eclectic taste in music, books are almost completely limited to textbooks right now and a good movie is one that captures me in the story usually through good character development.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I suppose it depends what you mean by amazing, but living and loving with our families and friends has been pretty amazing so far!
Teach, Learn, Share
We want to be learners of other cultures, customs, and people - when we engage relationally with people it may turn out that we have a thing or two to offer to the exchange as well.
