Overview
About Me
I am currently a graduate student studying for pharmacy degree and am planning to graduate next year (2017). I was born and raised in Korea for half of my life and lived in States for the other half. I lived in Michigan, Alabama, Missouri, and got to travel around 30 different states throughout the US. My hobbies are music and art, specifically singing and drawing. My favorite genre of art are Impressionism and oil paintings, and Monet is my favorite artist. My ultimate dream trip is to travel around Europe and sight-see all the places that Monet has painted.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm planning to travel Europe for a month this winter (Nov, Dec 2016), and it's my first time traveling to Europe. So, I am looking forward to meet people who are originally around from the area and form bonds with people from the community.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to everything (EDM, raps, acoustics, jazz, band, solo, classics), but my favorite genre of music are modern jazz & acoustics (e.g. Norah Jones, Rachael Yamagata, John Mayer, etc.).
Movies: Action, SF, Classics (e.g. Roman Holiday, Sound of Music, Wanted, Minority Report)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a vice president of an organization called ISO in my school, and my members and I raised $2040 from a cultural event called ISO Night that we organized. The money was donated to United Nations (UN) Refugee Agency in light of Syrian Refugee Crisis.
Teach, Learn, Share
Although I am fluent in English and Korean, I really want to pick up on Spanish and French. I want to learn more about the culture and how it is like living in Europe.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am fluent in English and Korean, so I could teach Korean and English if you are interested. I am more than happy to share my experience as a visitor and my life in States. If anybody is interested in either of countries, than they're more than welcomed to ask me about anything (job market, living in the States or Korea, etc.)
