About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Domination.

ABOUT ME

Born and raised San Franciscan who loves to travel, sing, dance, laugh, tan in the sun, walk my dog, volunteer...

PHILOSOPHY

I laugh each day because, as Charlie Chaplin put it, "a day without laughter is a day wasted."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like acting like a tourist in my own city, so you can imagine how much fun I have when I also act as tour guide. :) I LOVE my city and love sharing it with others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only type of "couchsurfing" experience I've had is meeting friends through friends in foreign countries and staying at their homes. Bouncing from home to home is tons of fun and provides a wonderful way to view another culture.

Interests

Traveling, singing, dancing, activism, playing with animals, going to the beach, shopping... :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite books: Half the Sky by WuDunn, and Eating Animals by Safran Foer

Love all kinds of music: Elissa, Amr Diab, Maryam Fares, Hossam Habib, Belanova, Silbermond, Xavier Naidoo, Wir Sind Helden, Sportfreunde Stiller, Garou, Shy'm, The Script, Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars, Linkin Park, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift....really, I do love everything.

Movies: All genres. Too many favorites to name them all, but a few are: The Hangover, Kite Runner, Just Like Heaven, Breakfast at Tiffany's, An Affair to Remember, The Notebook, Food Inc....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to my mother's homeland (Cambodia) recently and learned so much about the genocide she suffered through from beginning to end. It is amazing to me how she survived and made so much of her life when everything was taken from her. To start scratch in a new country after years of trauma is baffling to me. She is the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, France, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Egypt, Germany, United States
