Overview
About Me
Easygoing, a little spacey. Love to dance, even though I don't really know how...Love cycling and long cycling trips. Love the moment of arrival at the top of a mountain. Love never knowing how something ends. Love meeting all sorts of people and being surprised at which ones I like best. Have wanderlust so strong it can dominate most decisions in my life.
I just want to keep learning and exploring.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is an amazing project that has blossomed into a true international community for travelers. I've been on here for about seven years, and in that time I have never had a negative experience. The people who participate in this community are open-minded, warm, adventurous people, and I welcome any chance to interact with them!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Listened to a Thai sports announcer praise my performance as I played (as the only female player) in a riveting game of what can only be described as fire hockey.Spent a week not speaking, reading, writing, listening to music, watching TV, internetting, eating after noon, or doing anything but drinking tea and practicing meditation at Wat Doi Suthep just north of Chiang Mai. Cycled 1000 km through Thailand with two friends (independently, no guide), camping or staying with random hospitable people met on the road....then repeated a shorter version of this in Vietnam.
Climbed El Volcan Misti at 19,001 feet (5,800 meters)!
Teach, Learn, Share
I made this list of things I most want to learn more about while day dreaming one day: mountaineering, wilderness survival, advanced first aid, human anatomy, hooping, belly dancing, ASL, Spanish, sustainable living and gardening--including permaculture and aquaponics.
I have a basic knowledge of most of these things, but am always looking to expand.
I'm not an expert at much...but I can give you advice on traveling Asia, organizing a cycling trip, and teaching. I also now know quite a bit about the anatomy and physiology of our speech and hearing systems. I've always been a good writer. If you have something that needs editing I would love to help out.
Also, I can do most basic bicycle maintenance/repair tasks, so if you need some help I'd be happy to look at your bike.
