About Me

I may be shy and not very good at story telling, but definitely a good listener and a hungry learner :D

CURRENT MISSION

To have a real education by hearing stories from others and experience on my own.

CURRENT GOAL

Travelling through 50 states of America! And better understand myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm about to do a road trip from East to West of the U.S. so i'm looking for places to stay. It is also a trip for me to learn about other people's jobs and careers, how they live their lives, and (maybe) ways to live a meaningful life.

Interests

My dream is opening an organic farm, or an organization connecting organic and local farms to consumers in Vietnam. Food safety is a huge problem in Vietnam, and I hope one day I could give a hand creating a healthy community.

I enjoy arts, photography, and especially films/movies. I can't really talk about them but I love listening to others or going to art shows/movie screenings/galleries.

I love board games, especially strategic or legacy ones, so hook me up if you want to play :)

I also love to expand my knowledge in arts curating, music, designs, photography, cooking, architectures, urban planning, cutting-edged technology, philosophy and politics.

Music, Movies, and Books

(*) I love indie movies and any kind of non-Hollywood films. My all-time favorite is Amelie. I love mind-opening movies. I also really really enjoy animations and philosophical movies like It's Such a Beautiful Day (look that name up and you'll be surprised how good the movie is).

(*) I listen to all kind of music. Trust me! Lists of some bands that just pop up in my head: Ratatat, Explosions in the Sky, Radiohead, U2, Arctic Monkeys, Interpol, My Chemical Romance, Of Monsters and Men, Coldplay, Vapor-wave, Kaleo, Ed Sheeran, etc.

(*) I love reading fiction (but saying no to chick flick, sorry!) and anything technical or mind-expanding.. My most favorite series from childhood is Pendragon. One I'm reading right now is Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman. Some other ones I like are Les Misérables, White Fang, Robinson Crusoe, The Little Prince, Lord of the Flies, The Book Thief, One Straw Revolution.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Biking across Vietnam from the North to South. During that trip, trekking 3 days overnight through all different kinds of terrains: dessert, forest, hills, and mountains to reach the furthest Eastern point of Vietnam.

Teach, Learn, Share

My film camera! Yes an analog one. Even though I can't show you the pictures right at the moment I take them, I will definitely send them later as a post card!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some small gifts I brought from Vietnam and weird stories from that country! I can make some Vietnamese styled home-cooked meals that you don't normally find in Vietnamese restaurants. Our daily meals are very simple, nothing fancy, and include lots of veggie if possible. Trust me, we don't eat pho or noodles everyday.

I will bring a positive attitude and a bright smile all day :) :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
