Update: 27 DEC 2017

Wow this website has changed a lot in 3 years! I hadn't logged in such a long time since my career upgrade. I recently moved to Memphis, TN!! Super different lifestyle out here. Once I have the house set up, I may begin hosting but time will tell.

Update: 25 JUN 2014

Just wanted to say after a bit of nagging bronchitis I am well and healthy~! I hated that I had to leave my travels so I am hopefully going to be heading out to Europe once more in the Autumn. :D

If you have been trying to contact me on couchsurfing or my email, I had to update my phone and had lost my passwords and phone numbers! I finally was able to log in today though :D

I will be updating more often.

I love life and simple moments within it. I am extremely easy going and always looking on the positive side with a smile. I tend to joke and laugh at myself so I am not easily offended at all which is a quality I wish more people would take on :)

I always try to be giving and caring about those around me, if I see someone just walking by with a frown or a quizzical expression I make sure to smile at them or if available start a conversation, you never know what that will mean to someone or even to yourself if one day you turn out to be the person with the frown and a stranger walks up to you and brightens an otherwise un-noteworthy day.

I love love love learning new things! I can always be found reading a book or trying something new that someone recommended. I always think the best way to get to know a city/location/people is to learn about them and their ways of life which usually means it is a give and take as I try to make sure I also leave a small bit of my history and life experiences with others as well. <3

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that so long as you are kind and loving, to those who can do nothing for you in return, it makes life worth living.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't just come and go as a tourist but I try and spend my time with people I can see myself meeting once more or traveling with. Whenever I am in a new place I always try out the local scene whether it is something as simple as a volleyball game with locals to a quite night in trading stories and recipes from our respective homelands.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am so grateful for this site that has made my travels a reality! If it wasn't for couch surfing I would have never been to some of the locations I was able to explore.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music: I am all over the place as I appreciate almost all music from Classical to the spoons.
One of my all time favorite bands is Tool, I even got to meet Maynard a few times as he lives in Arizona and makes his own wine so he sometimes comes down to Phoenix to do a signing or such.

Movies: I love a good thinking movie where it keeps you guessing as well as a SciFi horror/thriller. I absolutely love watching documentaries, it is my favorite way of spending a rainy day. :)

Books: My absolute favorite is Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. (that should tell you tons about my humor if you've ever read it!)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

While in Jamaica my best friend Gabrielle and I were walking along a small stretch of soft sandy beach well into the afternoon, the small breeze winding its way up the cove through the palm trees lining the side of the beach was appreciated as it cooled us down a bit. I was lingering a few paces behind my friend just taking in the view that seemed out of a painting, so real yet only something I thought could only be imagined, when all of a sudden I stepped onto what I thought was more sand but it turned out to be such clear ocean water that I could not see it until the sun was reflecting off the small waves my foot had caused. I was in shock that I had Accidentally stepped in water up to my shin! I just stood there awestruck looking at the small waves rippling along, while the sea grass underneath swayed back and forth. It felt like I had stood there for an eternity until Gaby saw how far behind I was and called out to me to hurry up, I just looked up smiled with what might have been a stupid grin then ran to catch up with her once more.

While I know this may seem trivial to most people you must understand that the ocean I grew up swimming in was such a brown green cold darkness that I could not even think there was a different type of ocean somewhere in the world.

It is small moments like this that have kept my love of traveling alive and well inside my soul.

I am fairly knowledgeable in most technical aspects concerning computers.

I know my way around film and digital photography as well as developing my own film.

I can teach you English or Spanish.

I've been told I am an excellent cook and can teach you! :D
