About Me
Bonjour !
I am Lea, a young woman coming from North West of France, near the Atlantic ocean.
Unfortunately, I don´t have my proper home (just my parents home who don´t wanna host...) so I can´t
host you when I am there. But honestly, I am not often in this city anymore.
I studied 3 years at Nantes university a human sciences cursus, working in the week, living in a 9msquare
flat and enjoying student´s life, drinking cheap wine and beers, and mostly learning really interesting things I am still getting informations on, as social psychology, sociology, philosophy, educations questions...
On the half of my third year of studies I realised I didnt want to have a ´´proper job and carrier´´ and just work, eat, sleep, repeat, staying years in the same city. That would have made me so unhappy even if I was really interested and involved in my studies.
Actually I am not confortable with the capitalism system and its values which are for me nefasts to the world and its people; and I am also not confortable with the french political system. I didnt want to take part of it with a ´´stable job´´ as a social worker, psychologist or teacher and to suffer this because this kind of works are not valued and supported by the governement and you receive a lot of pressure, also because I couldnt have done it my way (as a teacher for example you are really under state´s control ).
Otherwise, I always had this vital adventurous spark living inside me yelling nicely at me : just go! Discover every corner of this planet, live, love and meet news cultures, different people !
For all this reasons and more we decided with my lover of the moment to buy a ´´´house truck´´ in which you can live after having my university bachelor degree.
We travelled through France, Spain and Morocco where I lived 3 months last winter. We choosed Morocco because we couldnt stay in France during the winter so we wanted to go souther (no heat in the truck), and it appeared to be a fantastic trip after only 3 months living in the truck to go down ´til this country. It was wonderful months, it took us two to be in Algeciras from Nantes. I experienced waking up every day with a new landscape in front of my sleepy eyes, in a different place, which I really idolised. A more simple and oldschool life with dry toilets, a hundred litre water reserve to fill up with elbow grease, living closer to nature and its rythms. Just taking time to live and travel!
I met wonderful french, spanish and moroccans people, had the chance to live a month in a city called Tafraoute, surrounded by pink granit and beautiful argan trees. Coming back from Morocco and Spain we worked several mounths in France country picking up lily of the valley, grape, planting tobacco, that kind of agricol stuff. I really appreciated those works because it is short contracts, you work in the nature doing something more or less useful, and you dont receive generally so much pressure if u find a nice place.
Now I am not anymore living with my truck partner and I decided to travel backpacking since it´s been many years I want to do this too and experience a new manner of living.
So I kinda got a gypsy spirit, trying to live minimalist way and not to worry about my future, living day by day. I am trying to participate the less I am able to to the capitalist system so I believe in reusing objects, clothes and solidarity between each other, not centralized by money but just human bounds.
Also, it´s been now more than 6 years that i am a vegetarian so I will be able to share my love about body and soul feeding in your house making nice meals with a lot of love. I am also that tea lady making weird plants infusions all day long when I am home, it is my way to apply this famous saying about apple and doctor but with plants infusions (I can t eat raw apple for real aha), and consuming lots of garlic, ginger and stuff. I believe in natural medicine and try to embrace it every day, completing with essential oil and more.
Concerning my personality and way of being, I am an open minded person which loves diversity with an ounce of utopism and lot of enthousiasm for life. Having a positive and resilient-accepting attitude is important to me, I try to apply it every day the best I can. I have a lot of energy to share but I also enjoy just chilling with people or by myself in nice little discovered places.
So once again I love sharing time with people, talking about anything and learn to know them.
I know how to adapt to new places and rythms of life and I am autonomous and self sufficient so it is sure I won t be a constraint to you! (:
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I said in my description I love people and Couchsurfing is a great platform both to meet new ones and travel, I like the idea to create a space of solidarity and sharing away from money system-; even though the site proposes me everywhere to pay 50 euros to get ´´verificated´´.- But i would be happy to send you a picture of my identity card if u want to see it -
I´m now a backpacker traveller so I think staying in a local´s home is the best way to really discover the country you´re in and the best way to meet many people.
For sure when I ll have a stable living place I ll host people too to live the experience on the other side!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Morocco for 3 months and going to the country with my house on weels was a fantastic living experience. I had the occasion to swim in an oasis in the south, walking in the Atlas, and eating lots of good tajin with morrocan people (perfect isnt it?).
I also recently hitchiked with a friend from Paris to Leipzig, it was the second time I actually hitchiked so that was wonderful and we met nice persons.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to share with people about langage so I can try teaching french of course, but also english and spanish.
As I am in Germany right now I am trying to learn German step by step and I would love asking you if you know german langage how to say this or this!
I would like to learn more who to grow plants, but also improve myself in mechanic skills or also knowing to build things in the most natural way. I would love to take part (and i am gonna do it one day!) in a solidarity construction of an soil-straw house to learn this.
However I´m generally interested in a lot of things so I am opened to learn new diverses things!
