Overview
About Me
Hey!!
My name is Lea, I'm a student in cultural studies and music. I play music quite a lot, mostly violin and trumpet. I very obviously like travelling and meeting new people, which is why I'm here...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because:
I've always wanted to. I like the concept, I like to meet people and have them stay over, aswell as I like to see people's places and live in unknown environments for shorter (or longer) periods of time. To me, entering someone's door feels like stepping from my universe into another's. I also very much like when that happens spontaneously, but the fact that there's a platform for us seems brilliantly practical. Makes it all easier!
Interests
I like: Languages, Music, Garlic, Nature, Foreign Countries/Cultures, sometimes Red Wine, Cookies, how Swedes pronounce their "i", "r", "u" and "k", Salad, Onions, WWOOFing, Children, Raw Sugar, People, though not all of them (but most), Travelling by Bike, Swedish Woods and Mushrooms, Camping and probably You.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like lots of different music - Funk, Jazz, Classical (Bach, Mozart, Händel, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, ...), Caetano Veloso, London Grammar, Joan Armatrading, War Paint, Flamenco stuff, Camille, Yasmine Hamdan, Buena Vista Social Club, Gótan Project, ... and lots more that I might not know the name of.
Some movies that come to my mind are Emma's Glück, Brokeback Mountain, Jenseits der Stille, Barfuß auf Nacktschnecken, Almodóvar Movies.
Favourite book as for now is definitely "The Glass Castle" by Jeanette Walls.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After having worked in southern France one summer, I decided I wasn't done travelling yet, bought myself a second-hand bike (the only one in town that came with a rack) and started coasting north. Broke the bike, didn't have any repairing tools yet nor a tent and slept in some strangers' tent during the first - heavily wet and stormy - night.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to cook spanish tortilla and can teach you!
I can teach you the languages listed in my profile. If you know another one, please teach me!
We can play music together, I could teach you some violin or trumpet skills...
In case you're interested (few people are...) I could teach you classical music theory stuff and would love to learn more about jazz.
And let's chat about life and about the world.
Oh if you know an aweful lot about history, economics, politics, sociology...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with you...
my room - because there's no living room where I live.
my bike - I use my skateboard and the bus most of the time.
