Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Lea, pronounced Leah. I am an artist, freelancer, and now adventurer. Many of my days are spent in my studio, creating in all kinds of mediums. I love to be outside. Camping and hiking are some of my favorite things. Along with outside time, I appreciate quality time with small groups of friends, meeting new people, and learning. I'd say I am a spiritual person, connected with this beautiful planet and all of its wonders. I'm almost always down to try new things. One of my love languages is food :) So I'd be more than happy to share a meal with you. Sarcasm is a large part of how I communicate, haha. I believe laughing is medicine. To sum it up, I am outdoorsy, adventurous, happy, curious, and incredibly loving. And oh so excited to travel!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Freedom has been calling my name for quite some time now. I'm pretty wild by nature and have proven the 9-5 life isn't for me. I've been working to shift my life around so that I may roam & experience life freely. And, tada! That time has arrived! Woohoo! I want to see all the things, meet wonderful people, and learn, learn, learn.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: All sorts of things. I enjoy India, Rock, Alt, Electronic, Folk and all the inbetweeners / genre-benders. Simon & Garfunkel, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Alt-J, and Fleetwood Mac have been the heavy rotation lately. Honestly, I have a wonderful collection of Spotify misfits that I continuously add to and play on repeat.
Movies: I like movies, I don't love movies. That being said, I have not seen many of that "classics" and think that my film experience is a bit deprived. So I'm always open to watching something new.
Books: My relationship with books is a newfound love. So I'm exploring all types. Currently, I read self-exploration books that teach me about my mind, body & spirit. I love motivational & uplifting books. A few titles from 2019: The Big Leap, 7 Habits..., Plant Spirit Medicine, The Alchemist, A New Earth, and The One Thing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing this I've done. Hm...
I moved across the country from Indiana to Salt Lake City, Utah. That was probably one of the most significant events of my life thus far. It totally opened my eyes to a new way of life. So much adventure! I learned (and am learning) so many outdoor recreations and have met so many incredible humans! From cornfields to mountains and desert- I'd say it's been a pretty significant upgrade & lifestyle change.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you art, painting, drawing, graphic design, and many other creative things. I speak English, so I'd be happy to help you with that as well.
Learn- I'm open to learning almost everything. I'd love to learn about new foods, cultures, creative techniques, dance!, and language.
Share- I'm happy to share about any of my experiences and knowledge that you may find interesting. Also, I always love to share a meal.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook, share stories, laughs, help with housework, and I'm always happy to share my time and conversation. I am also happy to help with any creative endeavors you may have while I'm there! Painting, drawing, design, etc. I'm also happy to gift some of my artwork to any lovely hosts who are open to receiving it :)
