About Me

~sorry folks, currently not hosting~

Hi there,

I'm Lea and I am studying psychology and sociology at the University of Vienna.

Other than travelling I'm into bouldering, outdoor adventures, punk rock, feminism, reading, roller derby, TED talks, snowboarding, any form of art or literally any form of creative self-expression, yoga, snowboarding, writing, philosophy, adventures and self-discovery.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like how couchsurfing allows you to immerse in the ways of life of the people whose places you stay at, and how that can make you gain new perspectives, thoughts and ideas.

I also really like the anti-establishment aspect of couchsurfing. And of course the opportunity for cultural exchange.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music I like: I grew up listening to a lot of rock, punk and alternative music. Nowadays I listen to all different kinds of music, depending on the situation and my mood - I find most music beautiful.

My favorite movies are probably still the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Other than that, I mostly watch arthouse movies at the moment - recent favorites include All of us Strangers and Perfect Days.

I basically read whatever I can get my hands on. I also read quite a lot. Recently I've found myself gravitating towards certain Japanese authors, e.g. Kazuo Ishiguro, Banana Yoshimoto and Sayaka Murata. A recent read that absolutely blew me away was "If I Survive You" by Jonathan Escoffery - never read anything quite like it before. Currently I am reading "Humankind" by Rutger Bregman, which I can also highly recommend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in Tokyo, Japan for a year as an exchange student, Absolutely amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn about regional cuisines so I'd love to cook with my hosts and learn their favorite recipes.

I'm a quite curious person so if you have a special skill that you want to teach I'm there for it :D

What I Can Share with Hosts
