Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and at the same time meeting new people. I feel that every new connection broadens ones horizon.
#1 reason for surfing: Meeting locals, who show you their city the way they use to live in it. That's for sure the best way to experience a place. Plus, crazy days with amazing people you've otherwise would miss to meet!
#1 reason for hosting: If you don't have the time or money to go traveling yourself, it's the best way to get all the traveling stories to you :) And of course, to make up for all the great nights spent on former couches!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm german, so I can't deny my love for techno :)
But I think there is good music within every genre (except pop probably ;) )
I have a faible for psychologically disturbing movies haha (Requiem for a Dream; Enter the Void; Fear and loathing in Las Vegas; Reservoir Dogs; Trainspotting...)
And everything from Tarantino, Tim Burton, Harmony Korine and Hayao Miyazaki.
However the best movie is still Amelie Poulain
What I've recently read: 1984; Brave New World; Just Kids...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living with a family in a village in the peruvian mountains, Bungee in New Zealand...but the really incredible things happen every day if you let them (:
