I love to travel and here are the reasons why:

1. I love seeing sights and hearing sounds that enrich my soul. It makes me appreciate life more. It makes me feel humbled and small. And through it, I continue to be at awe with the world we live in.

2. I love to try new things, gain a sense of adventure, immerse myself in different cultures, and lifestyles. It widens my perspective of the world.

3. Traveling is my way to take a break. Once in a while, I feel the need to get out of my daily routine and to discover places beyond the city I live in. The world is a big place with so much things to offer, with so much things to learn.

4. It's the best way to spend time with my loved ones and friends. It deepens the bond I have with the people I love. It also lets me meet new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to get the most of out of my travels. I want to fully immerse myself with the country's culture with the help of my host. And of course, gain new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Indie, rock, alternative bands , and a few pop artists. I still prefer real and raw music, with accompaniments and lyrics that translate to human emotions and experiences. I love watching live gigs with all of its imperfections and rawness of the performance.
Top of mind artists include The Beatles, The Smiths, The Cure, U2, Oasis, Temper Trap, Phoenix, Coldplay, Bon Iver, Two Door Cinema Club, The Strokes, The Killers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Of Monsters and Men, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, etc.

Movies: I like feel good movies. Movies that makes you think, and movies with valuable life lessons like Shawshank Redemption, About Time, Amelie, Before Sunrise Trilogy, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, Comet, Inception, V for Vendetta, Memento, Fight Club, Whiplash, Big Fish, The Dark Knight, The Lord of The Rings, Gone Girl, 500 Days of Summer, and La La Land, just to name a few.

Books: I usually read novels or books of compilation of poems and short stories. I'm amaze how writers can find the right words to describe what they think or feel. And how easily people can relate with other people's experiences and emotions. Reading novels also allow me to escape reality. For me, it is like an instant vacation when you have to stay where you are. Even if it's just a chick lit. Top of mind authors/poets: Paolo Coelho, Haruki Murakami, Lang Leav, Atticus, John Green, Jojo Moyes, Rainbow Rowell, Milan Kundera, Mitch Albom.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba diving. It think it's the closest thing you can get to exploring the outer space, but in this case, you explore the inner.
